I thought this image encompasses the concept of an “Urban Landscape” quite nicely. It shows much of downtown New York from the Empire State building and includes a bunch of graffiti at the bottom which is kind of “urban.”

“Seaside” is quite a convenient theme for me as just last weekend I was in Brighton!
(I didn’t post an entry to last weeks challenge so there’s no need to feel guilty for not voting for me!)
This image is sunrise from the top of Mount Sinai after a night climb with people of all ages, Young and Old. This is not just a coincidence as this is this weeks PhotoFriday theme.
Please also vote for the previous challenge1, “Cameraphone Shot.” I’m entry number 95.
They skipped a week so I can’t say ‘last week’. ↩︎
In fact this isn’t the first “Cameraphone Shot” that I’ve entered as an entry to PhotoFriday. This shot isn’t perfect but I think it makes good use of the available light. It kind of goes back to the old adage that the best camera is the one that you have with you. I could have done better with my 50D but that was at home.
For this weeks PhotoFriday, “My Favourite Spot,” you could interpret my picture in one of two ways. Firstly as “with friends and family.” The second would be “with a glass of beer in my hand.” I picked this one just to be contrary, as most of the other entries appear to be sunsets!
I’m running a bit late this week, but if there’s still time then please also vote for my entry in last weeks challenge, “Eyes.” I’m entry number 66.
For this weeks PhotoFriday theme, “Eyes,” I was very tempted to use the image I took for the “Extreme Closeup” challenge but then realised that it was only a couple of months ago, a bit too soon to use it again.
Instead I picked the above picture of Lena, which was taken in my first time working in a studio. It’s actually a crop of a picture I normally use in black and white.
When you think of Noisy and loud musical instruments, one that springs to my mind is the bagpipe. In Jerash, Jordan, they were not only loud but very unexpected.
Please also vote for my entry in last weeks challenge, “Monochrome.” I’m entry number 78.
I thought that this image was suitable for the “Monochrome” theme for a number of reasons. It was taken on black and white film (Ilford XP2) and, even on colour film it would have been pretty monochromatic. It was taken in Vigland Park, Oslo.
Please also vote for my entry in last weeks challenge, “Metal.” I’m entry number 27.
The cars in the Rally of Corsica were zipping through the streets at High Speeds, which I thought made this a good candidate for this weeks PhotoFriday challenge.
Please vote for my entry in last weeks challenge, “Shiny,” I’m entry number 162.
